# Terms of Service.

These terms cover the web and email development work I do under the name devwrks, and this website. devwrks is run by me, an independent developer, not a company. By hiring me or using this site, you agree to these terms. Every project also gets its own written quote. If the quote and these terms ever disagree, the quote wins.

## Quotes and scope

Before any work starts, you get a written quote with the scope, price and timeline. Anything outside that scope, such as new pages, new features or extra rounds of changes, is quoted separately before I start on it.

## Payment

How and when you pay, including any deposit, is set out in your quote. Work starts once the quote is accepted and any deposit is paid.

## What I need from you

- Designs, content and any brand files the project needs.
- Access to your HubSpot account, email platform or website, as the project requires.
- Feedback and approvals within the time we agree.

If something arrives late, the timeline moves with it.

## Who owns the work

Once the project is paid in full, the themes, templates, modules and emails I build for you are yours to use, change and keep. I may reuse general techniques and code that isn't specific to you in other work. I may show the finished work in my portfolio unless you ask me not to.

## Your information and access

I keep your business information, logins and unreleased plans private. I only use access to your accounts for the project, and you can remove it once we're done.

## After handoff

If something I built doesn't work as agreed, tell me and I'll fix it. New changes and new features after handoff are quoted as new work.

## No guarantee

I test everything I build carefully on the browsers, devices and email clients we agree on. HubSpot, email platforms and email clients change over time, so I can't promise the work will stay free of errors or suit every purpose forever.

## Limits on liability

As far as the law allows, I'm not responsible for indirect losses such as lost sales, lost data or downtime. If I am found responsible for anything, the most I'll owe is what you paid for the project in question.

## This website

The text, images, recordings and code on this website belong to devwrks or the clients shown. Please don't copy them for your own products or site.

## Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Projects already under way keep the terms in their quote.
